ah-choo!

We all had colds this week. Except for Paela. I'm glad one of us could escape those little germs! I stayed home to work on Tuesday in part because of the on-coming cold and in part because of the on-coming snow. But with deadlines at work, I couldn't afford to just rest. We've had three demos of our application in the last week. And that translates to lots of things to finish beforehand, and lots of new things to work on after.

We saw lots and lots of snow this week. Our mound by the driveway is higher than the car now and our mailbox is just barely visible. The girls have not really enjoyed the snow at all. Aderyn touched it once last week without a mitten on (we were just walking to the car) and she cried and cried and shook her little hand. Paela just flat out refuses to go outside unless we're going straight to the car. Fortunately, we manage to keep busy inside, or find indoor places to go, and the girls are starting to be co-conspirators at times.

Camilla and Victor did us the favor of hanging out with our girls Saturday so we could go to a movie (thanks, Susan!). We decided on Harry Potter, because we thought it'd be fun to see while still in theater. I liked it, but Wayne felt kind of lost [I'm not even going to go into how nonsensical Rowling's works are...]. So I guess it goes to show you actually should read the books if you want to watch the movies. We were glad both of the girls tolerated our absence superbly and alright, respectively.

And Wayne almost got killed at a restaurant we had a gift certificate to. Both girls loved the food, but suddenly Wayne stopped eating because a quarter-inch stiff sharp tin plate appeared in his food. Crazy! We were both thankful that it was our meal and not the girls' meal. And that he saw it and didn't eat it.

Here's to us feeling better this week. And that the snow on Wednesday is less than they say. Because it's not looking to melt anytime soon, that's for sure.
