Back at work

The first day of Rebecca back at work wasn't the worst. That was the second day. The one when Aderyn screamed as if I was doing unspeakable horrors to her as I tried to feed her a bottle. That was the worst day.

Camilla came. I knew she was coming with Cameron, but I forgot to mention this to Rebecca. I was out picking up a painting from a show that had just come down when Camilla gave Rebecca an entertaining scare.

Rebecca has had a terrible cold. The weather has been miserable, as well. But we were lucky enough to have a few days in the upper 30s -- so we went for a walk. I didn't know that sidewalks were an underappreciated property asset in New England, but apparently no one clears theirs. If they have them. We do not.

Stake conference was in Nashua, New Hampshire. I'm still not sure my feelings on being one (it not the furtherst) of the southernmost families in our stake. It makes for long stake conference drives. But Paela liked the 30 minutes in nursery and I was able to enjoy the talks in the hall with Aderyn.

We celebrated Winnie the Pooh day. We made a nice winnie-the-pooh cake and sang songs and watched the movie. Paela liked that day.

Aderyn doesn't sleep well during the day. Or eat well. Or do much of anything well. She will have screaming fits that go on until she passes out. We don't think she is colicky, because that usually happens in the evening and we have been blessed with a child who knows how to sleep through the night.

I don't like going to the dentist. I feel like they are similar to car mechanics: you can't trust most of them and they're mostly trying to fast talk you into extra and unnecessary services. At least this has been our experience. We went to a new dentist. I'm not very happy with him. However, he's better than other dentists who have practically forced laser gum cleaning on us.
