how 'bout book store?

It seems like we did many activities this week, but we honestly can't remember what.

There were a couple of story times at different libraries. Paela enjoys her craft projects best of all and will actively ask for playdoh, painting, glue sticks and other activities. We made two paper mache balloons and Paela decorated one with her hand paints. Most mornings we would head out to the Lexington playground because fewer people go there and it is surrounded by astro-turf soccer fields. Paela chases me around while I kick the ball and it is good exercise for us both.

But it was Tuesday evening we suffered through a question and answer session with the team of delivery doctors in order to get a tour of the hospital facilities [the last pregnancy, the only way to get a hospital tour was by taking a 6-week, $150 class...at least this time we got a tour for the price of enduring a QA session! -bec]. Paela made friends with another boy her age and the two of them ran around chasing each other. It was the only thing I could do from gnawing my leg off in boredom. Now we know where the "magic" happens and how we will be paying a fortune in parking for the whole experience [the one thing insurance doesn't cover...at least we have insurance for the rest of it! -bec].

After the hospital tour, we went to a book signing with author Shannon Hale. I expected that since we were arriving 30 minutes late that the line would have diminished, but Shannon happens to be long winded in her introductory comments and they were just starting to sign books. Paela needed to get home to bed, so Rebecca stayed and got something signed for the girls.

This weekend was church conference and Camilla and Cameron came over for all of it. It was nice to have family around and let the kids play. Cameron entertains Paela.

And we think we might have a name for daughter #2. But we're not sharing, mostly because we're not finalized on the name.
