Thomas?

Wayne worked hard on thesis stuff this week again. He's got lights in the right direction, and the platforms are looking good. That leaves getting the mannequins doing something interesting and setting up the computers. T's and i's after that. Of course, t's and i's usually take much longer than you expect, so this week is sure to be packed full of work for both of us.

Wayne also had meetings on campus all day Tuesday, until nearly midnight. He enjoyed the artist that came out that evening and learned a new appreciation for the sacrifice it is for artists to come for a guest lecture.

Paela had a Thomas-full week. He came over to play several mornings before her nap, and she got to play at his house a couple of afternoons too. On days he came to our house to play, he usually ended up leaving for home during Paela's nap. This meant she would wake up from those naps and immediately ask "Thomas?" We were always sad to have to tell her he went home while she was sleeping.

I had a birthday yesterday, which was quite nice. Paela hung out with Karl and Angela while Wayne and I went out for the afternoon. Her uncle Karl even took her out for her very first bike ride on his bike, and Wayne got to go for a short spin with her as well. She said "whee", but i don't think her heart was in it. I think she hasn't quite made up her mind whether it was supposed to be fun or not.

And Monday Wayne and I tried out a local trampoline place. Around sixty ten-foot trampolines all joined together, surrounded by a wall of trampolines. You could run up the "wall" and bounce back on to a trampoline and jump so high. It was a ton of fun, even if we looked to be some of the few adults in the joint. And the only ones without kids there. For the young at heart, I suppose.
