possible allergies and no sleeping at nights

We were busy all throughout the week. Rebecca hasn't slept much each night because she has stressed about finding work. [By the end of the week, I found stopping job hunting tasks/thoughts an hour or two before bed helps tons in being able to sleep. Perhaps there's good reason for the typical work schedule of the salaried employee. -bec] Rebecca has gone to many meetings with Lee Hect Harrison and reviewed her resume. Most of the meetings are, oddly enough, supposed to help people find their way around the company's website for job listings. I am still trying to put my faith in this company and what they say, but if they are catering to the lowest common denominator and Rebecca has only gotten more frustrated and worried about job hunting since participating in their seminars, I am beginning to doubt. I doubt the economy will rebound as well as people think. I doubt people have any idea how bad it really is. I doubt in companies who specialize in helping people re-enter the job market. Is this another fish oil scam or do I keep putting my faith in them?

I put together a book for publishing on documentation for my Master's candidacy review. I hope it turns out well. I'm very hesitant about publishing software when I can't see samples of how something is to turn out. Samples are the lifeblood of a professionally done piece of work.

The rest of the week is a blur of Rebecca submitting her resume to many jobs. Again, we put out the plea to anyone listening to ask around for work (at this point we're willing to relocate to almost anywhere -- barring Mississippi & Kentucky) in the software development field. In fact, look for jobs for myself as well in academic teaching positions for the arts. [you know you want us to live close to you, right? :) -bec] While Rebecca was busy slaving over job hunting, I was trying to get some new projects off the ground and struggled to get some 3D rendering libraries integrated.

We took Paela down to the beach to get some video of her playing in the water. Despite it being northern California during November, temperatures were in the low 80s and Paela enjoyed having her legs numbed by the cold ocean water. We have begun to question whether Paela has nasty allergies to the outside pollen, etc. Her long explorations outside almost always end with her having a nasty runny nose and watery eyes, but no fever.
