hello, guten tag!

toes! Wayne's last months of work came to a close this weekend. I think there are still a few odds and ends to wrap up and exhibit openings to enjoy, but he and Red76's Sam got the exhibit set up at the San Jose Museum of Art Friday. Paela, of course, helped -- even when gallery directors indicated they prefered babies not to be in the museum where ladders might fall on them. Why do they have such dangerous ladders? Who knows? Paela stayed though...she didn't want to be lonely, after all.

Of course, this is just the conclusion of one of Wayne's projects. He still has school for a few more weeks this semester, and will help set up another project tomorrow probably.

Before Wayne had to make an airport run to drop off an out-of-town artist yesterday, we hit the library for the first time in awhile. We usually just make requests online and pick up books when they arrive, but this time we actually browsed. It's been...years! since we did that. It was fun. Paela enjoyed crawling towards the dusty bookshelves, and consoled herself when I turned her away from the dust by chasing people's shoes. I can't blame her...shoes are one of the more interesting sights at her level.

As for days I hung out with Paela...we made a mall trip Thursday with a friend, Jennifer, and with Angela and Thomas. Unfortunately, Paela was quickly overwhelmed by the many sights and sounds, so we had to cut the trip short. She was just getting over her cold and I suppose was not quite ready for such excitement.

taking daddy to the water Tuesday was a book club day. After several reschedulings and loosing our ring leader, we finally managed to have book club before the month ended. Smile There were mixed reviews on the book. We had read Raising Children Who Think for Themselves. While I didn't accept everything the book suggested at face value, since it does not account for religious beliefs, I was able to find room for my own beliefs within the framework the author presented. It was interesting hearing other opinions of the book though. And fun that we ended up doing book club during the day so all the kids got to "play" together.

Today we almost doubled the size of our Primary class by having two visitors. It was great.
