man, i really wish i was brave enough to take those kind of business risks. I mean, this sounds so great for me. either that or opening up a restaurant. but i'm scared silly of such risks.

"actually, i can draw"

If you thought that was

If you thought that was cool, get this: when you turn in a game you've rented, you can apply the price of the rental to the purchase of a game (doesn't even have to be the game you rented). Are these guys geniuses or what? I can see why their business is booming. They say they do $2k worth of business every Saturday alone. I'd say that's pretty good for a game store. I think you and Wayne need to set up a franchise. :)

renting games

Oooh...renting games is a *great* idea. We were just talking about how especially murder mystery games should be rentable, because otherwise you'll know the answer for the next party you throw. Or maybe have a trade-in possibility. Yah, it would have been way fun to have you guys at the party. :)

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Wayne! Man... a murder mystery would have been so fun! Wish we could have been there. (Guess we'll have to organize our own. Not too hard to do since our closest games store---which is AWESOME---rents games. All we need now is some cool friends.)

I hope Paela feels better! Funny how kids can hurt themselves in the one moment you're not looking, eh?

sand castle

The middle is all chocolate, and the towers are each three yellow
cupcakes with a sugar cone on top and a fruit roll up flag. We crushed
up vanilla wafers for the "sand" and used vanilla frosting to glue the
sand on to everything. We found swedish fish and made some chocolate
sea creatures for decorations. Mmmm, sand castles....

Wow!! Great cake. What kind is it? I'm really impressed. You need to put up the instructions on how you did this.

I think you guys should be a little more careful with your titles. Do you have any idea what we thought when we saw the title (before reading/seeing it of course). It sounded like an annoucement. :)

Pushing the car and climbing up stairs are all steps to learning how to walk. Good job!! Next step is to teach her how to get down the stairs backwards. Once she gets to the top, slowly guide her legs down so that she is backing down the stairs. She'll love climbing up again and pretty soon she'll figure out the down direction too.

Wayne had never had one before. :) I thought he would enjoy it and it was something new. It's fun doing something new or going somewhere new...more memorable that way I guess.

Oh and thanks again for watching Thomas.

Hehe. Yah, I clutched my cell phone too, since I had to mute it for the
show and didn't think I'd feel it vibrate otherwise. And I needed to
know if she called! :) I kept thinking, at least I'm not calling to
check on her...at least I'm not calling to check up on the sitter...and
thinking of the Mad About You episode where they kept sending people
with a bunny to go check on their first sitter. Excellent. Next time
we'll have to pick up a bunny to do the checking....

At least that's what it says the 5th is on Wikipedia... Rebecca, I feel
your pain re: the first baby-sitter. I had my cell phone clutched in my
hand till my knuckles turned white the first time we left Ethan with a
sitter. :)

She loves whatever we can get finger-food wise for her -- avocado, bananas, sweet potato chunks, tofu, egg yolk, pasta...now to work on "meals" instead of 1-type of food at a time. :)
